Young Leaders Fund Awards $100,000 in Community-Based Grants

Young Leaders Fund (YLF), an initiative of The Chicago Community Trust, provides young professionals with an innovative way to make a difference in Chicago through a hands-on approach to philanthropy and grantmaking. Since its founding in 1994, YLF has distributed over $1.4 million to grassroots organizations supporting community and economic development and childhood education.
This year, YLF made 16 grants totaling $100,000 to the following organizations:

- Colors4Change
- Distinctively Me
- Doughnate Pizza
- EcoShip
- Human Scale
- Hydroponic Venture Project
- Inclusive Teams, Inclusive Dreams
- Kitchen Possible
- Life Empowerment & Survival Ministries
- Prison Yoga Chicago
- The Spirit of Harmony Foundation
- Trash People
- Youth Sports Science Institute
