We at The Chicago Community Trust stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and their commitment to live in a safe and free democratic nation. In the wake of Russia’s invasion, millions of men, women, and children have been impacted by escalating violence—losing their homes, their security, and even their lives. Nearly three million people have fled Ukraine, while many more in the country are in urgent need of shelter, medical services, and aid to meet their basic needs.
We are inspired by the generosity of our donors and partners in responding to this crisis. If you are seeking ways to support humanitarian aid for those whose lives have been disrupted by the conflict, consider donating to the following organizations:
CARE Ukraine Emergency Fund is providing food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support, and cash assistance—prioritizing women and girls, families, and the elderly.
Global Giving Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund will provide shelter, food and water, health and psychosocial support, and economic assistance to displaced Ukrainians in need.
International Committee of the Red Cross has been in Ukraine since 2014 and is working closely with the Ukrainian Red Cross Society to increase the response to humanitarian needs.
