From November 13—15, thousands of nonprofit and foundation leaders from across the country will gather for Upswell Chicago.
This event, organized by Independent Sector, is designed to build community and increase social capital by connecting mission-driven professionals at the local and national levels. It’s three days of high-energy, hands-on programming that starts in the Hilton Chicago and branches out into neighborhoods across the city.
The Chicago Community Trust is proud to have our president and CEO, Dr. Helene Gayle, serve as a co-chair of Upswell Chicago—and to share an opportunity for community leaders and change-makers to participate at no cost.
To help make sure that community voice is represented in the room, Upswell is offering dozens of no-cost fellowships for people working to advance community change in a professional capacity, including in the philanthropy, nonprofit, government or business sectors. They’re looking for fellows who:
Demonstrate a commitment to building community beyond their immediate organization
Contribute a unique voice, point of view or perspective which will enrich the Upswell community
Are able to participate in all elements of the program
Represent organizations with an annual revenue or grant making budget under $1 million
Valued at $1,250, the Upswell fellowships will be awarded through a competitive application process. Find complete details and apply today at upswell.org.
