Sonianne Lozada is the program manager for Income and Small Business at The Chicago Community Trust.
In this role, she manages the income growth portfolio, focused on educational attainment and workforce development.
Sonianne is passionate about serving in capacities where her actions extend into communities, groups, and individuals both at a local, state, and national level. Her journey in the professional space has been committed to improving the lives of all Illinoisans, including Chicago and Cook County residents. Through various experiences from serving in the K-12 space as a Chicago Public School external partner, to fighting for anti-hunger initiatives and advancing and championing equitable policies for college students she has seen what passion, collaboration and belief that we can create such powerful change we become a barrier breaking system, can do for people and their communities.
Sonianne earned her master’s degree in public policy from National Louis University and her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Columbia College Chicago. A proud Chicagoan, she lives in the Austin neighborhood with her husband Marcos and two daughters Aria Harmony and Melody Joy.
