Matt Shomo (he/him) is the program manager for Homeownership at The Chicago Community Trust.
He helps support Growing Household Wealth’s diverse portfolio of work including equitable homeownership, educational attainment, and workforce development.
Matt is experienced with community engagement work in the public, nonprofit, and social sectors. Prior to moving to Chicago for his graduate studies, Matt worked as a Program Assistant with the Summit County Land Bank – a housing nonprofit in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
Matt completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University, where he earned a BA in Public Affairs from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. He also holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
