Mandy Burrell is communications manager for special initiatives at The Chicago Community Trust.
Previously, she was an independent consultant providing strategic communications and marketing services to nonprofit organizations. She also worked as communications senior for the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning and as communications director for the Metropolitan Planning Council.
In these various roles, she has helped launch and implement long-range regional plans, increase public education funding, attract new development to communities, and launch Chicago’s only national park, Pullman National Monument.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
