Lilly Athamanah is the digital communications specialist for The Chicago Community Trust.
In this role, Lilly manages the strategy and implementation of the organization’s digital and creative assets by overseeing the Trust’s social media platforms, content, and design elements—as well as serving as the website CMS and redesign lead.
Prior to joining the Trust in 2020, Lilly worked on the communications teams for Vivid Seats and The Joyce Foundation. She was previously a public affairs trainee at Kivvit, collaborating with clients on initiatives across a variety of sectors including education, government, business, not-for-profit, and culture. Lilly was also a senior press and communications intern for the Office of Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
A Chicago native and Posse Scholar, Lilly graduated from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in American Studies. She is a member of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP) and former founding member and vice chair of the Navy Pier Associate Board.
