Laura Kernaghan is senior director of investments for The Chicago Community Trust.
Kernaghan is responsible for all aspects of the Trust’s investment portfolio, including setting investment strategy, collaborating with our external investment partners, and guiding the Trust’s impact investing efforts.
Kernaghan previously served as managing director of investments at QBI Financial, where she led the fundamental research effort for six investment strategies. Prior to that, Kernaghan was investments manager at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where she oversaw the hospital’s endowment and pension investment portfolios.
A lifelong resident of the Chicago metropolitan area, Kernaghan holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA from Loyola University Chicago. She is also a CFA charterholder.
