Heather Wallack is the senior corporate counsel at The Chicago Community Trust.
In this role, Heather works on estate and complex gift administration and contract and vendor management, and she supports the General Counsel of the Trust.
Before joining the Trust in 2026, family office-related work was a thread throughout Heather’s career since law school. She practiced law at Kozusko Harris Duncan, where she worked on the formation and management of trust companies with clients that were typically family offices. There, she gained knowledge about family office operations, family governance, and family philanthropy. She also performed work for Family Office Exchange. Most recently, Heather worked in the family office enterprise practice at RSM US LLP, where she addressed contracting and risk management matters.
One of the reasons Heather went to law school was because she wanted to perform legal work for nonprofit organizations. She was a board member and officer of Chicago Public Art Group for 12 years.
Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with minors in Art History, West European Studies, and Spanish from Indiana University. She also holds a Juris Doctor degree and a Certificate in Intellectual Property: Arts and Museum Law from DePaul University College of Law.
