Alex Battaglia is an institutional giving manager at The Chicago Community Trust.
In this role, Alex connects institutional giving with Trust initiatives, partnerships and collaborations. He collaborates with the Trust’s Philanthropic Services team, Affinity Funds, Community Impact team, and Collaboratives to develop funding opportunities, steward institutional funders, and support investments that advance the Trust’s mission and community impact.
Alex comes to the Trust with a passion for community-centric fundraising and mission-led programs. His previous roles include grant consulting at Melanie Palmer Consulting, food banking at Feeding America, and community development work with the United States Peace Corps. He is a member of the Grant Professionals Association.
An Arkansas native, Alex completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Central Arkansas where he earned a bachelor of arts in international studies and political science and received a J. William Fulbright award. He also holds a master of public policy from the University of Chicago.
