Yesterday, the Trust hosted a screening of the movie Rosenwald at the Museum of Science and Industry. The film tells the story of philanthropist and businessman Julius Rosenwald—celebrating his vision and legacy and reinforcing the power of philanthropy. Rosenwald, president and co-owner of Sears, Roebuck and Co., used his wealth and talent for leadership to try to make an impact in areas he viewed as wrong, or lacking, in the world. We can still learn from many of his lessons today. I encourage you to read this wonderful commentary about Rosenwald by the Chicago Tribune’s Clarence Page, and find the movie at a theater near you.
