Tony Herhold is a data and analytics manager for learning and impact at The Chicago Community Trust.
In this role, Tony works across the organization to develop methods for analyzing the impact of Trust grant making on closing the racial and ethnic wealth gap. With a background in geography and urban planning, he incorporates various tools, such as geographic information systems (GIS), into tracking various spatial and socioeconomic trends that help to inform progress toward Trust goals.
Tony joined the Trust from the City of Arlington, TX, where he led the Research and Analytics Team in providing analysis for policy initiatives such as the Arlington Unity Council. Having managed the Arlington Open Data Program, he enjoys translating raw data into useful information that people of all backgrounds can understand.
Tony received his master’s in Urban Planning and bachelor’s degree in Earth Systems, Environment, and Society from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
