Taylor Moore is a program specialist for Press Forward Chicago, housed at The Chicago Community Trust.
Press Forward Chicago is a new initiative seeking to support Chicago’s community media ecosystem—and also part of a national initiative to bring new resources to local media.
Most recently, Taylor was an associate program manager for the International Women’s Media Foundation, where she led a grant program that disbursed more than $230,000 a year to women and nonbinary journalists of all nationalities; a mentorship program for underrepresented journalists and a prestigious fellowship in collaboration with The Boston Globe, The New York Times and MIT’s Center for International Studies.
She is an award-winning investigative journalist in Chicago who has written for The Guardian, VICE, TIME, WBEZ, Chicago Reader, and many other publications. She is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and Investigative Reporters & Editors.
Born in China, she grew up in Orlando, Florida, and graduated from the University of Central Florida.
