Sarah Sapperstein is a philanthropic advisor for The Chicago Community Trust.
In this role, she is responsible for building and cultivating trust-based relationships with current and prospective donors. She works with individuals, families and organizations to facilitate strategic grantmaking, sector knowledge, and multi-generational philanthropic relationships.
For nearly 20 years, Sarah has served as an advancement officer, grant manager, and strategy partner for some of Chicago’s most prominent nonprofits. Her work in front-line engagement, communications and grant writing has helped drive organizations’ relationships with donors across our city and beyond. Her experience includes the arts, arts education, academia, social justice, and health and human services.
Originally from Baltimore, Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Redlands and a master’s from the University of Chicago.
