Rose Shapiro is the program specialist for the Resilient Chicago Fund, and multi-funder initiative housed at The Chicago Community Trust.
Prior to joining the Trust, Rose served as Director of Community Development and Partnerships at the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs (JCUA), where she led the Community Ventures Program—an interest‑free revolving loan fund supporting local affordable housing and community development projects.
Previously, Rose managed foundation operations at Richie’s Spirit Foundation, supported civic education initiatives at the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement, and facilitated social‑emotional development programming for students in the Chicago region with Imagination Theater.
Rose holds a master’s in social work from Washington University in St. Louis with a concentration in community development and policy.
