Jean Westrick is director of IT strategy and communications at The Chicago Community Trust.
She brings nearly two decades of philanthropic, nonprofit, and program management experience to the Trust. Starting in 2014, Westrick has brought leadership to operational efficiency and technology investments, cross-collaborative and enterprise-wide projects, as well as the large-scale special civic engagement initiative, On the Table.
Prior to joining the Trust, Westrick served as the associate director for the 100Kin10 STEM Project at the University of Chicago, a national network spearheaded by the Carnegie Corporation to answer President Obama’s call to recruit, retain, and support the next generation of excellent STEM teachers. She has worked at Chicago Public Schools, where she developed and managed informal and enrichment opportunities for thousands of students and teachers, and at Science Chicago—a $5 million, one-year public awareness campaign to promote the importance of science through the Chicagoland region. Westrick also spent six years supporting grant making efforts and communications at The Joyce Foundation.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and a Master of Science from DePaul University.
