Dop Troutman is the Talent Manager at The Chicago Community Trust.
Dop is responsible for the administration of various functional areas of talent management, including full-cycle recruitment, payroll, employee relations, organizational development, compensation, staffing, workforce and succession planning, exit interviews, policy development and interpretation, and overseeing the intern program. He also serves as the office and facilities manager.
Prior to joining the Trust, Dop managed his own HR consultancy, working with businesses all over the country. He was also a regional talent manager for Saatchi & Saatchi X, and was the human resource and office operations manager for Make-A-Wish Illinois. Originally from Maryland, Dop graduated from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA and launched into teaching English before moving to Washington, DC, where he began his career in non-profits with The Empower Program, a non-profit dedicated to teaching young people and adults how to create safe schools and communities by providing effective prevention strategies to address bullying and other forms of peer aggression.
Dop brings more than 25 years of human resources experience to the Trust and has served at all levels of that discipline. He relocated to Chicago in 2005 and now lives in the Ravenswood Manor neighborhood with his husband.
