Carrie Goodale is the affinity funds specialist for The Chicago Community Trust.
She currently co-leads the six Affinity Funds of the Trust (African American Legacy, Nuestro Futuro, LGBTQ, Asian Giving Circle, Young Leaders Fund, and Disabilities Fund) by way of grant review and processing, special event planning, meeting coordination, and helping to ensure the growth and success of each of these diverse funds.
A native of Augusta, Georgia, Carrie has been in the Chicagoland region since the summer of 2018. She moved to the area after accepting a job working in the Development and Communications department of the United States branch of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Loretto Sisters in Wheaton, Illinois. Carrie’s prior work experiences include fundraising and research for a small nonprofit after college, marketing for a medical supply company, working in purchasing and receiving for the Augusta National Golf Club, and in merchandising and shipping for Kohl’s department store.
She holds a bachelor’s in history with a communications minor from Augusta University. She is a board member of Mary Ward Center in South Chicago.
