    BLACKROOTS ALLIANCE

    Awarded: Awarded Amount: $20,000

We’re a Black-led, Black-serving organization, grounded in a love for the Black community, and a goal of seeing our people achieve their fullest potential. Through activism, we’re working to "be the change" and exist in the world we want to see; leaning into relational organizing so that we can impact the spread of change where we feel it the most -in our homes, jobs and familiar relationships. To reach this Afrofuturist reality, we need more people to understand how current public policies impact their lives and increase civic engagement. To do this, we will hold open forums for people to share their vision for the future, canvass communities to find out their policy perspectives, and support our partners towards achieving their missions.
