In the third year of our funding with CCT, we're seeking general operating support to amplify our work through community engagement in service of racial equity across the five areas listed below: (1) We intend to broaden our reach by working with three new neighborhoods and community partners therein across the south and west sides of Chicago. We will continue to develop grassroots policy-relevant community projects from neighborhoods to amplify and build/strengthen a community campaign and narrative with accessible data platforms and research skills of the Collective. (2) Strengthen the development of a publicly accessible data resource repository and train community participants for use. (3) Develop a Black researcher pipeline by recruiting and engaging Black researchers who can be matched with local and community organizations in need of research support. (4) Hosting the 2024 Black Researchers Thought Summit where we bring together funders, researchers, community partners, and program participants who present to the public on how they've been leveraging research and data to strengthen and sustain their communities. (5) Producing Season Two of “Research in the Streets” podcast to disseminate more broadly the lessons learned through community participatory workshops and the creative work being done by and through Black researchers.
