MPC proposes Change Lab, to build the capacity of housing leaders to address structural change through more collaborative and efficient solution-building. MPC will provide monthly training modules for CCT homeownership grantees to build the knowledge and skills to affect structural change. Phases include: - Project Initiation – finalizing training modules, vetting participant organization applications, and stress testing against potential challenges - Training Module Match – pairing participants with relevant program modules and supports - Training Modules – conducting three training modules for participants - Evaluation – surveys and interviews to gauge program effectiveness

Beautiful Beginnings To Lasting Legacies
We at Jumping Juniors believe that ONLY THE STRONGEST PEOPLE CONTINUE TO LIVE AND BE SUCCESSFULL while the ill-informed and weak fail. We believe that we must equip our youth with certain traits that will allow them to both thrive and survive in their environment. We understand that there are three primary enviornments that youth endure on a daily basis (home, streets and school). If one of those elements are in distress the youth will be as well. Our SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST camp, youth learn/discuss: 1. Conflict resolutions strategies. 2. How to say no to drugs (to their friends). 3. Guns: What to do if you see one. 4. Future plans (by completing a vision board). We will also use the sport of double dutch as a means to attract youth in an effort to mentor them. We will teach them some of the fundamentals of double dutch as well.

Not Before My Parents
Not Before My Parents, Inc is proposing to do two separate events with Englewood youth. On Saturday, May 27th, we are planning a daytime youth and teen takeover in downtown Chicago to change the perception of Black assembled youth. Chess Moves Before Violence: Peace Scene at the Bean occurs downtown on Saturday, May 27, 2023, featuring Chess, a Focus Group, Peace Circle, Mental Health Workshop, Resource Tables, Game Activities, Music and Free Food, Giveaways, and more. For some Englewood youth, they have never traveled outside of their neighborhoods; and for others, their experiences downtown and interaction with law enforcement have been negative. On Monday, May 29th we will have Movie Day with popcorn for West Englewood youth at 69th & Artesian. This activities-packed day occurs at 69th & Artensian on Monday, May 29, 2023, featuring Focus Groups, Resources, Chess games, a showing of two movies-- Chess Movie and Stop the Violence, Music and Free Food, and lots of activities.

We would like to extend our summer STEAM & Trades Academy to include dates in June to accommodate the gap time between school ending and summer programs. We would service an additional 15-20 youth, 2 days a week.

Corry Williams Art Foundation
Introduction to acting special guest Chicago actors who have been on commercials, t.v shows, and written scripts. Kids will learn about getting into the business acting lesson tips, memorizing lines, and taking headshot photos. Intro to street Art (graffiti) collaborate with 3 residents graffiti artists who created murals all over the City including at 345 Art Gallery located in East Garfield Park. Students will learn basic techniques for creating graffiti art. Kids will create small group murals they can take with them when class ends.

Grand Boulevard Prevention Services
Grand Prevention Boulevard Services (GBPS) will mobilize existing youth programs, activities and community events quickly for Memorial Day weekend and June 6-26, 2023. GBPS will provide alternatives to violence through in-person and virtual youth sessions premised on restorative justice practices. Youth will be trained in convening Peace Circles and design prevention Public Service Announcements with the theme “No Violence, Peace Is an Action Word.” Staff will conduct surveys to obtain responses on services, school life, life skills, work performance and mental health. Leveraging additional events provides flexibly for incentives, contest and basic needs like haircuts and access to healthcare.
