Over the next 12-18 months, MPC, in partnership with Urban Institute is advancing original research that quantifies impacts of the Chicago zoning code on equity, sustainability, and health – which will be assessed through the application of the Phase One derived methodology. Assessment results will be informed by neighborhood-level conversations that help connect the citywide assessment to on-the-ground realities. Steering Committee members and other partners will remain active and engaged in assessment and willing to use the results to advocate for zoning and land use policy and practice changes.
