Capoeira Chicago has an exciting plan to engage students from its 4th and 6th grade classes in a captivating capoeira and maculele workshop on May 27th and 28th. The workshop, to be held at the Dorchester Center located at 1456 E. 70th St., from 12 to 2PM and on the 28 at Ruth Page Center located at 1016 N. Dearborn from 11-1PM. Capoeira Chicago aims to introduce the students to the vibrant world of Afro-Brazilian martial arts and traditional music. By inviting these young learners to participate in the workshop, we hope to foster cultural appreciation, physical fitness, and teamwork among the students. Capoeira Chicago aims to enhance accessibility by offering students transportation services from their residences, ensuring that geographical barriers do not hinder their participation in workshops. To facilitate this, we plan to hire a school bus that will safely transport students, and on Monday, May 22nd, we will initiate the process by requesting students' interest and obtaining permission from parents and guardians through a formal letter.
