Laura Gutierrez is a project specialist at The Chicago Community Trust for the Partnership for Safe and Peaceful Communities (PSPC) initiative. She manages the community grants strategies of PSPC, which includes the Chicago Fund for Safe and Peaceful Communities and Let’s Link Chi. These funds provide grants to nonprofit organizations serving communities disproportionately impacted by gun violence. Prior to this role, Gutierrez coordinated efforts on the Trust’s Community Impact team, specifically focusing on the Addressing Critical Needs strategy.
Gutierrez holds over a decade of experience in the social impact sector. Prior to joining the Trust, Gutierrez was a Development and Communications Coordinator and Program Case Manager for two west side Chicago nonprofits. She earned a BA in Communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Gutierrez is an active civic leader and serves on many boards for local social service organizations. Currently, Gutierrez serves as the chair of The Oak Park River Forest Community Foundation’s Next Gen Leaders in Philanthropy.
