Cari B. Sacks

Cari B. Sacks is an active philanthropist engaged with numerous civic and cultural organizations. She currently serves on the boards of the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art, where she also sits on the executive committee and chairs the governance and nominating committee, the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Food Allergy Research and Education Foundation and the Erikson Institute. Sacks also serves on the board of Personal PAC, a nonpartisan political action committee based in Illinois, and was appointed to both the City of Chicago’s Cultural Advisory Council and to President Obama’s Advisory Committee on the Arts. Sacks earned an undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of San Diego and a master’s degree in early childhood development at the Erikson Institute. She currently is pursuing a master’s degree in contemporary art history at the School of the Art Institute.
