Xiao “Lin” Mei is the impact coordinator for We Rise Together: For an Equitable & Just Recovery, an initiative of The Chicago Community Trust.
In this role, she helps coordinate program activities. She recently graduated from the University of Illinois with a background in Asian American Studies and Adult Development.
In 2014, Mei participated as a student representative on the steering committee of Generation All, an initiative to revitalize neighborhood high schools. She interned at The Chicago Community Trust for Generation All in high school and then again after graduating from university in Operations.
Mei has been recognized for her work in the community as an Education Changemaker by Mikva Challenge and Youth Who Excels by the Asian American Coalition of Chicago.
Born in Guangzhou, China, she speaks four languages: English, Toishanese, Cantonese and Mandarin.
