Rosa Carrillo is AVP/Controller for The Chicago Community Trust.
Carrillo leads the accounting team at the Trust managing investment accounting, contribution processing, and financial reporting.
She joined the Trust after working at Heartland Alliance as controller of their healthcare and corporate divisions. She brings with her over 15 years of experience in financial reporting and leadership. During her time at Heartland, Carrillo was instrumental in the geographic expansion for their health center into an underserved area of the city, including successful implementation of New Market Tax Credit financing. Her prior experience includes strategic and staff roles in financial reporting for private and public companies including Hub International, Microtek and the real estate investment arm of Deutsche Bank. Presently, Carrillo is a board member of Heartland Alliance Health and Open Books.
An immigrant from Mexico City, Carrillo grew up in Chicago. She holds a BS in Accounting from DePaul University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
