Fresh Taste
Fresh Taste is an initiative by thirteen Chicago-region foundations working together to relocalize the Chicago foodshed and improve equity of access to good food. Fresh Taste envisions a regional food system characterized by significant production of, and equitable access to, good food that:
- Promotes responsible land and water stewardship
- Provides fair value to all of those working throughout the production and distribution system
- Is reasonably affordable
- Promotes health

Although Fresh Taste is a foundation-led effort, and we occasionally make grants by invitation only from our Good Food Fund, grant making is not a primary purpose of Fresh Taste. Please do not send Fresh Taste letters of inquiry or formal grant proposals.
We encourage you to visit the individual websites of our members to explore their funding priorities and available grant opportunities.
