In 2006, the Latino Giving Circle announced its first-ever round of grants totaling $10,000 to two community-based organizations serving Latinos in the Chicago area.  Grant recipients received $5,000 each for their educational programs.

These organizations included:

• Latinos Progresando
• Latino Education Alliance
