As a leader in Chicago’s philanthropic community, the Trust is dedicated to making the philanthropic process easy, efficient and effective for both donors and grant seekers.
For 90 years, we’ve brought together residents, civic leaders and not-for-profit organizations to pursue the common goal of making Chicago a better place tomorrow..
For the fiscal year that ended September 30, 2005, the Trust and our donors awarded $81 million to more than 1,200 not-for-profit organizations. We generally focus our giving on five core areas:
- Arts and Culture
- Basic Human Needs
- Community Development
- Education
- Health
In this Knowledge Center, you’ll find deeper information about these core areas along with FAQs and background information about our unique initiatives and partnerships.
