Fighting the Local Foreclosure Crisis

The Regional Home Ownership Preservation Initiative (RHOPI) is the Chicago metropolitan area’s integrated approach to exerting a collective, measurable impact on the foreclosure crisis. The Trust, in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, has played a leadership role in RHOPI. In addition to this collaboration effort, the Trust has provided more than $1.5 million in grants to organizations addressing the crisis and made a $5 million investment in ShoreBank certificates of deposit.

Unity Challenge Impact

Thanks to donations to the Unity Challenge, the Trust is helping 1,000 homeowners avoid foreclosure, providing support to 1,600 renters of foreclosed buildings, and finding $30 million in cost savings for families and communities. Join the Unity Challenge
