In the wake of the worst recession to hit metropolitan Chicago since the Great Depression, the Trust launched the Unity Challenge in December 2008. Thanks to our generous donors and matching funds from the Trust, during the last three years we have given more than $9 million in special grants to support agencies helping seniors, people with disabilities, domestic violence survivors, the hungry, unemployed people and the homeless.
When you make a donation, we will match it—doubling your support to nonprofit organizations meeting basic needs for everyone in our region. Food pantries, shelters, legal aid clinics, foreclosure counselors and compassionate neighbors like you: we are all fighting on the front lines of poverty together.
To give by credit card:
Make a simple, secure online donation of $10 or more.
