As part of the One Chicago, One Nation initiative, Community Solution Grants will be awarded to stimulate social action across diverse communities. This grant cycle will fund innovative, collaborative projects that create economic opportunity, improve youth development or promote healthy living in our region. Each proposal must be sponsored by two organizations, to ensure interfaith and intercultural engagement.
Eligibility
- Must be a qualified 501(c)(3), as defined by the Internal Revenue Service Code
- Must serve residents in the six-county Chicago metropolitan area
- Must stimulate social action across diverse communities to build awareness of shared values and encourage cross-community collaboration
- Must demonstrate interfaith and/or intercultural engagement
- Must demonstrate how the grant will create economic opportunity, improve youth development or promote healthy living
- The following are not eligible for funding:
Endowment campaigns
Individuals
Religious proselytizing
Political campaigns or endeavors
Conferences, festivals, exhibitions or meetings, including related expenses
Reduction or liquidation of existing debt
Scholarships
Grant Amounts
- $10,000 award
- Grant term is one year
Grant Cycle and Deadlines
One Chicago, One Nation is now accepting applications for its first grant cycle.
Proposals due: October 15, 2010 by 5:00 p.m.
