Applying for Grants from One Chicago, One Nation

As part of the One Chicago, One Nation initiative, Community Solution Grants will be awarded to stimulate social action across diverse communities. This grant cycle will fund innovative, collaborative projects that create economic opportunity, improve youth development or promote healthy living in our region. Each proposal must be sponsored by two organizations, to ensure interfaith and intercultural engagement.

Eligibility

  • Must be a qualified 501(c)(3), as defined by the Internal Revenue Service Code
  • Must serve residents in the six-county Chicago metropolitan area
  • Must stimulate social action across diverse communities to build awareness of shared values and encourage cross-community collaboration
  • Must demonstrate interfaith and/or intercultural engagement
  • Must demonstrate how the grant will create economic opportunity, improve youth development or promote healthy living
  • The following are not eligible for funding:
         Endowment campaigns
         Individuals
         Religious proselytizing
         Political campaigns or endeavors
         Conferences, festivals, exhibitions or meetings, including related expenses
         Reduction or liquidation of existing debt
         Scholarships

Grant Amounts

  • $10,000 award
  • Grant term is one year

 

Grant Cycle and Deadlines

One Chicago, One Nation is now accepting applications for its first grant cycle.

   Proposals due: October 15, 2010 by 5:00 p.m.

 

How to Apply

Proposal Submission
Organizations interested in applying should download the Proposal Form. Once all questions are completed, the final form must be submitted by email to before the proposal deadline. In addition, the Proposal Form specifies additional materials required for consideration. These documents should be mailed in hard copy form to the Trust's Grant Management team.
