Arts Education in the Chicago Public Schools

In 2001, the average Chicago elementary school student received less than one hour of arts education a week. This fact, and other findings from the Trust's survey of Chicago Public Schools, helped inspire the Arts Education Initiative, now known as the Chicago Arts Education Collaborative.
