
Antonio Martinez Jr. is Assistant Director of Development for The Chicago Community Trust. Martinez is responsible for implementing the fundraising plans of the Trust; for assisting with identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with donors; and for increasing unrestricted, restricted and endowment giving to the Trust.
Before joining the Trust, Martinez was Director of Corporate Sponsorship for the American Bar Association (ABA). In that role, Martinez directed the strategic organization of the Association’s sponsorship activity. Martinez has also worked for the Museum of Science and Industry and the Chicago Cubs.
A graduate of Columbia College, Martinez holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing Communications. He is also a graduate of the Metropolitan Leadership Institute, a leadership program aimed at engaging young Hispanic professionals in the public arena, including political, corporate, government and non-profit spheres. Martinez also served as a local school council member for Bateman Elementary School in Chicago, and is active in local politics.
